Dear Sobaya customers.
We will be closed on Christmas but will be serving guests both on New Year’s Eve and New Years Day 2017. We will be also closed on 1/3/2017.
In Japan, the long strands of soba noodles represent longevity and it is eaten on New Year’s Eve to reflect on the “toshikoshi”, meaning “passing year”. To enjoy soba on New Year’s Eve is to make a wish for a happy new year and for a long and prosperous life.
Our special “Toshikoshi Take Away Package 12/31/2016” is still available.
